An indicator that normalizes the gap between market cap and "realized cap" by the historical volatility (standard deviation) of market cap, used to judge whether the current price represents a statistically extreme deviation from holders' average cost basis, or sits within a normal range.

SOPR (Spent Output Profit Ratio)
A ratio measuring the price at which moved (spent) Bitcoin is being sold relative to the price at which it was originally acquired, at a given point in time; a value above 1 indicates the market is overall realizing profit, below 1 indicates overall realizing loss, making it a commonly used on-chain indicator for gauging current market sentiment and cycle position.
